Maybe your air filter is clogged with sand... if you're lucky. It's relevant to the issue, dirt bikes get their air filters clogged all the time when when riding in deep sand.

wonder what they would charge simply to see what the error is. gtr tax probably pegs it around 800$ to run a quick code scan? : P

it wasnt that sandy when i look back at it, then again, ive seen much worse sandy winds, and ive never heard of any sand/filter related issues....

(once i saw a zonda and lotus driving right the middle of a sandstorm, and came out and were running fine all day long...)

I am just making a joke about the maintenance costs of a GTR - don't worry, it's all in good fun and out of envy.

Not all places check things for free. They tell you the problem, then you get it done some place else at a cheaper rate, they are in a lose lose situation. I could be completely wrong, but I don't know if the "stealer ship" will do it for free.

Get ready to bend over without lube. I am sure they will come back and say they have to replace something.

It'll be covered under warranty...

...wait. I forgot that the GTR doesn't come with a real warranty.

Did the engine start in a Fail safe mode? Are any other indicators showing?

When I first bought my Z I would get the dreaded "check engine" light, but it turned out to be a faulty fuel filler cap, hopefully its something similar for you.

Let us know what happens tomorrow.
