There was a very short intro on the car/engine (The same engine being used in GT-500) on streetfire.net. They interviewed one of Nismo's German engineers, during a GT-500 testing session, & he has stated the car being heavily restricted for competition use & can produce over 800HP unrestricted... Further searches on the GT-500 engine will indicate the same info.

FIA GT-1 rules... in order to compete, no AWD. And I have yet to see, in many years, any FI engines from any brand compete in GT-1/2/3..etc. Prototype/LMP-1/2 there is FI allowed.

2700lbs. Now we are talking. But as mentioned shares very little with it's road going bretheren.

I still think Nissan should offer cars similar to this as club sport editions, sans the really expensive stuff like carbon body and carbon brakes.

The GR6 GT-R transmission/diff/transfer case is a boat anchor. SO much weight is wrapped up in the AWD system.

Looks good, but makes you question the overall reliability of the GTR motor if they swapped it out for a V8.

V8 >> TT V6 for fuel savings, weight, race reliability.. I'm pretty sure there would be a penalty for having a turbo motor anyway.
