Honestly, it must have been a matter of a few weeks after I got my Z33 up and running. I was so happy, proud, feelin' on top of the world.

And then this dude bought the three-family house next door.

This dude, of course, being the man that rolled up in a gorgeous late-model GTR, in silver, not a scratch on her. 591 emasculating horses, sitting just over the bushes in the driveway that borders my yard...



And he's a REALLY NICE GUY! God dammit! Not only have I been outdone by the neighbor, I can't be a flippant and derisive about the situation either!

At least we have nice new neighbors...

I think historically, the Z car is a nicer looking car than the GTR. Don't get me wrong, the GTR is automotive engineering feat, but the body lines don't compare to the Z car styling - never have imo.

He maybe looking down the road and thinking, damn, that's a nice car and for a fraction of the money. But I doubt it

Every time I notice a GTR on the road thats exactly how I feel... Im like I wonder if that guy is mad he spent so much more on that car and it doesn't even look as good...

Being jealous of other people is what keeps the economy going.

The way I look at it is cost/performance/usage ratio. If you're going to spend 120k on a Gtr to drive 3k miles a year and sell after 6 years with a 30k loss then it's not worth it.

I paid 7400 for my z 6 years ago and have driven it about 1k miles a year. Put about 2500k into it,, but sold about the same worth of parts off it so that's a wash. I'd like to say I could sell it for roughly 7k, so I think I'm doing ok

The way I see it, is that I love the new GTR but I wouldn't get one. I'd take an R33 over an R35 any day, my Z is customized to my liking and has more value to me than the much faster GTR

 

Wait you guys got to be kidding. GTR looks like Altima with body kit and Z has more heart.If we could all afford and maintain a GTR nobody here would choose a 350z over it.
Who you guys actually kidding with such statements.
I love my z don't get me wrong but for a GTR **** that, it would be long gone.
