The tint is a metallic tint. It has no dyes in so it will never fade or turn purple or fade. There is no blue in the tint just metal. Here is what it looks like from another angle.

And how it looks on my old car (silver):

I have a CS performance model, and had seen every Z color so far except DB. Well, tonight I saw one for the first time on my way home. Let me just say that not one DB picture does the car justice. It looks so good in real life that it's making me second guess my CS purchase. You guys take care of these beauties.

jckolnturn, I love the rear emblem!! Where did you get it, and is it difficult to change out?? Are there holes to fill or add, or what?

I got it for a gift but you can order it online from courtesy nissan as well as others. I think it costs 20 or 30 bucks. There are no holes to fill or add. I should of took a picture of it before i installed it but it comes with the glue on it and a stencil to line it up on the car, making the install a snap if you are careful and patient. In order to get the old one off i used dental floss and worked it up and down behind the letter Z and the 350. Then i was left with the gummy residue from the old glue. Some say to heat the glue with a dryer or heat gun but i used cold water, then rubbed it carefully with my finger till it came off. I then cleaned up the residue with a bug and tar removal wipe and washed and waxed the area then applied the new badge. I finished everything in less than 45 minutes.
