its an awesome color when the sun hits it...it is an exact replica of the 2003 Spicy Orange Mazdaspeed Protege

 

The Nissan site in Japan features a nice Solar Orange wallpaper.

That's exactly what happened for us. We just picked up a new SO Touring for my wife at a great price because it was the first '07 the dealer took delivery of and they hadn't been able to sell it. We can only figure it was the color. Personally, I love the color. It changes so much in different lighting. Full, bright sun is when it's at its best, IMO. You can really see the heavy metallic in it and it sparkles. I don't feel that any of the pictures I've seen of it really represents the color well. Just about everyone who has seen our car loves the color but it definitely isn't for all.
So all I can say is, thanks to everyone who didn't like the color. You made my wife's dream car a reality.

Here's some shots of my wife's Z. A couple late in the day and a couple around midday. I think they really show how the color changes so much in differing light conditions. I love it.


















We've only had it a couple of weeks, so we haven't done anything to it yet. First thing will be window tinting and then probably a radar detector.

I just picked me up an 07 Solar Orange in March....Love the color even if others just don't seem to " Get It" !!

And everyones right about the pics just dont do it justice...It's one of those you just have to see for yourself.

This is a great color. The factory hyper silver wheels look fantastic against this color. My neighbor has a solar orange vert and it is stunning.
