On your Z, a huge wing like that can actually make the car unstable at high speeds. Unless you're an engineer with some advanced fluid flow software, have access to a wind chamber, or have some proof positive facts to back up your mod, tacking on a spoiler here and there most likely won't produce noticeable / favorable results.
Just checked with my brother, who works as an ME for Roush, and he agrees that they're for looks. Here's what he had to say:
"Here's a little insider info. The spoiler is designed to look cool. Any downforce created by the part is equal to, or less than its weight. Even the Cobra R with its big wing only made down force equal to its weight at highway speeds...
...to acheive measurable results, coordinated design changes throughout the body have to be realized. This requires time, money and a willingness to sacrifice FE and/or styling for function."
So actually, Lentronic, you should probably put a cork in it.

This is an old comment but just so we dont have more stupid people walking around the earth when people read this thread the above statement is not true.
If the force created by the "wing" is only equal to the parts weight an airplane would never leave the ground because no extra lift would be created to make the wing fly.
Since we are throwing titles around I am a Mechanical Engineer for Siemens...
