Damn Bonz I may convert from Blackfire to Zaino.
No matter how much I wax I never seem to be able to get your colors. Even in different lighting.

Default Production #'s on Brickyard

Does anyone have any idea on how many Brickyard's were produced? Here is Jax, FL I have seen all the colors except mine - I'm depressed.... I have no one from the Brickyard family to see driving down the street.

Just had to share my feelings.... lol

Serious on the #'s though...

Thanks in advance

Dont be sad that there arent any more bricks in your town. Consider your car a rarity because it is. I have only seen 2 other bricks in the whole DFW metroplex (for those that dont know, it is a HUGE area consisting of many cities.) The ladies seem to be in love with this color too

I don't know about the numbers produced this year, but word is that the color will not be produced for 2004.

I guess I would like to see a color like mine driving down the street. It's hard to get a view of what you look like driving (since I only let the wife drive the Z)

On the other hand, I'm happy to be one of a few.

kbsig106... I feel your pain...

In the 6+ months I have owned my car, I have only seen other Brickyards on dealer lots and one fleeting glimpse on the road on an overcast day.

But that all changed this weekend! I had to take my Z and my Nismo body kit over to the body shop to discuss the install. The shop is about 45 minutes from my house and, obviously, the Nismo kit would not fit inside the Z itself.

So a buddy and I loaded the kit in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I let my buddy drive the Z for being so kind as to help me get everything to the shop at one time. I drove the Jeep.

I asked him to accelerate past me (so I could really enjoy the sound of the new Borla dual) and so I could look at my ride on the road.

Having seen every other color Z on the road, I can now say none come anywhere near the beauty of seeing the Brickyard on the road. Sure, I'm biased, but I don't think any other color comes even close. I should qualify this by saying it was a bright, clear, sunny day. It was absolutely incredible to see the Brick from afar for once. Now I know why everyone turns their heads as I drive by!

The only problem is I spent more time staring in the rear view at my Z than paying attention to where I was driving!

In any case, I don't care what anyone else says... on a sunny day, hands down, the Brick beats all the other colors... only the LeMans Sunset comes close.

Default Ahhhh

mcduck - you do feel my pain!!!!

I plan on this weekend - hopping in the PT Cruiser (wife's car) and letting her drive the Z. I just want to follow her for a few miles and you know "eye candy".

My one problem is - it get's so dirty after one rain shower. I mean - for some reason I can't keep it clean. I guess it's the nature of the beast (paint color) and me being ****.

The dealership where I purchased my Brick said only 8000 globally and yes the color is discontinued for 2004 . Being replaced by another shade of silver called alluminum something.

Quite a few brickyards in the Bay Area. C RayZ lives about a mile from me in San Mateo. There is one about a mile from where I work in San Jose. In late December, I saw 3 brickyards and a red Z in the space of 4 hours.

You might want to recheck that 8k number. Nissan's original production numbers were 42000 units globally with 30000 of that allotted to North America. Anyway it finally stopped raining

Well, the 8k number did come from a dealer. They typically know very little about anything other than their commission .

Personally I don't mind a bit that there aren't more Brickyards. I like being unique and different. One of the reasons I didn't bother with Silver, Blue or Sunset Orange. I'm glad my car is different.

The dealer where I bought mine (one of the busier dealers in the area) said he only sold two Brickyards when I went to pick mine up in January. The ironic thing was, they both came in at the same time! Mine was sitting literally in front of the dealership doors, on the sidewalk. The lady came in to pick up hers and thought mine was hers! Heh. Good thing it was locked!

I agree Buub! Plus the brickyard is absolutely the best color. All that rich metalic & that beautiful deep red color.........oh yeah ! That's weard, the dealership I bought mine at had not received a brick until mine plus 1 other at the same time (May, 03). Both were touring mod's but mine had the aero package & the 6MT.

Default Amazing!

That's one of the shiniest wet-looking Brickyards I have seen on the internet. No local ones that I have seen, so I haven't seen any real Bricks except a quick glance at one at a distance. It was enough to convince me about the color. Mine is due in about two weeks and I can only hope I can come close to what you've done with yours. What's your secret?

Sparky3Z asked What's your secret?
It's no secret. Go to the Detailing section of the forums. read and decide what methods will work best for you. I tried a clay bar for the first time and used Meguiars Gold Classic. Actually the cheapest method that anyone has proposed.

There is a wealth of information to get on this board. Enjoy!
