ROAD CLOSURE ON THE WAY TO VEGAS
SEMA Showgoers driving to Las Vegas from Los Angeles and the surrounding areas are likely to experience delays as a result of Caltrans construction. The construction will impact I-15/I-215 junction in the Cajon Pass near Devore. The Cajon Pass and I-15 will be open, however motorists should expect significant delays.
Among the advice to motorists that Caltrans has posted on its website is:
Avoid travel during the weekend closures.
Vegas-bound travelers should leave early (Thursday), stay late (Monday).
Motorist from LA region can use alternate routes other than the I-15.
Use alternate modes of transportation; fly rather than drive, if you can.
Detailed maps and detour is posted at www.dot.ca.gov/dist8/devore2/index.htm and can also be obtained by
calling the Caltrans Public Affairs Office at 866/383-4631.
