Do you guys know of anyway you can remotely make the top go up or down? Maybe from the keyfob? I know this sounds really stupid, but I have read on other cars where this is an option and you can do it. I know for instance you can hold down the unlock button for three seconds and the windows will drop, but there has to be somewhere for the top, i know it will probably be aftermarket.

Imagine leaving the grocery store and hitting the keyfob and a car sitting in the parking lot all by itself, suddenly drops the top, windows go down. and you just hit the lambo door up and your set!

 

Definitely aftermarket due to our manually locking mechanism. On my friends SLK55 AMG, on his keyfod there's an infrared LED which transmits to his car... but he has to stand not too far away to make his top go down.

I doubt any aftermarket parts will easily make this happen... unless you replace the entire locking mechanism and/or top. Not worth it imho...

 

Who's gonna release the lock handle? I doubt it.

Is it for show or laziness?

What about lambo doors on a convertible? Anybody got pictures or pricing on where to get them?

 

I hope you at least get wheels, drop and a kit before the flashy lambo doors.

 

The other thing is you would probably want the car running to put the top down otherwise it's hard on your battery
