Default Drag coefficient and roadster

I'm just wondering if the drag coefficient would be different on highways if I have my top up or down. Basically will there be a difference in acceleration and top speed with the roadster?

My gut reaction is the air flow will be smoother with the top up so you may notice more drag at freeway speed. But when I drive with the top down I go into Winnebago driver mode and let everyone go by .

Maybe safer with the top up though. I almost got knocked out once when I lost the front light module on a different car at triple digit speeds. Made a big wooshing sound as it went by my head!

Hmmm I was thinking it would have more resistance with the top down as the airflow wouldn't be as smooth. Anyone else got any idea?

I think the manual actually states that for more efficient fuel usage (due to drag) highway driving with the the top UP is best...

Thats what I think also. The air flow is smoother with the top up so there is more drag with the top down.

+1......a lot more drag with top down, but hard to tell with all the wind but there is a lot more drag
