Default Noob question on taking the ZR to the autox

So I am going to the track for the first time, and I'm excited. Its not a competition, but rather a track for 350Zs to do laps individually. Any ZRs out there that have gone to the track care to offer advice? I have a couple of noob questions:

1. Top up or down?

2. Windows up or down? (I assume A/C off, geez its gonna be hot)

3. Do you use gloves?

4. Can I wear shorts and a t-shirt? (already got the helmet)

This is where we are going:

I've had mine out at Watkins Glen for some laps, not a race. Top and windows down, no gloves or helmet. Great time. Top and windows down for autocross too, wear helmet and gloves for that though.

If you were doing this for competition I would say windows/top up for less drag, but for going out and having fun it would be a better experience with the windows/top down.

I'm looking forward to going out to the track for the first time in this car next month. Have FUN!

I don't know about your local event, but in SCCA events all convertibles are required to have the tops down & stowed, and ALL vehicles are required to have windows open.

ZBoater--I've tracked my ZR @ Phoenix Firebird on "open days" just for fun--no competition. Top down, windows down (mandatory). I had a ball, and learned a lot about my car and my shortcomings as a driver. Relax and have a good time. This car is amazing, and with your mods should be even more so. Regards. Jack.
