OK, the stock spoiler from the coupe will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT fit the roadster. However you position it, there will be huge gaps and that makes it look ugly IMO. I learned this the hard way.
I read the the forums and some people said that theirs fit good, but to me, it was unacceptable. Good luck!

I go in tomorrow morning for the dealer to install the OEM spoiler. Spoke to the service manager and voiced a few concerns last week and he made me feel much more at ease. Told me about the differences in fit between the coupe and roadster, and that they have done it many times (installed OEM spoiler) with excellent results. The dealer does attach the spoiler with screws. I'm still going to show him this thread when I get there.

Wish me luck!

I would imagine that installing it with screws would allow them to tighten it enough to bend it to make it fit. Hey, if the dealer says it will work, then at least you have someone you can complain to if you dont like it. Me, I had to look myself in the mirror and call myself an idiot for putting on mine crooked. I fired myself, then hired me back at half pay (half of 0??) and did it right the second time....

Viffer35Z , please us tell how it looks, maybe take a picture for us, especially the front end. I can imagine they can tighten the bold like crazy to decrease the gap, but i still expect some gaps. Good luck!!!.

Visionboy, will definitely report back later and get a few pics up for you.

ZB - LOL

I'm pumped to get the spoiler on today!!!! I'm going to have them show me the spoiler before it goes on and how they're going to position before it's attached.

As it turns out, all of you were correct in that the OEM spoiler does NOT fit properly and the dealer wouldn't install it. Bummer...Checked spoilerdepot and will be getting their spoiler for $279 painted. OEM was $595. Dealer will charge me $135 to install it.

$135 to install the SpoilerDepot spoiler? I assume they are going to bolt it on for that price, as it comes standard with 3M tape.

Knowing what I know now, I would have paid to install it too. Is is very easy, but I messed up the first time and it was painful. For me at least, well worth $135...

Yeah, for me, $135 is a deal and to have it gusaranteed is worth it. ZB, does the spoilerdepot spoiler accept screws/bolts? It doesn't come with any, just tape? Hmmm....

Yup, just tape. If I recall correctly there were holes on the spoiler itself that seemed to accept screws, but honestly I dont remember now. I do know it didnt come with any screws.

I saw the ZR spoiler up close and it seems like the spoiler is much fatter or thicker than the coupe. It doesn't necessary look better than the coupe spoiler. I believe that person got it at spoiler depot as well. Can I get confirmation if the ZR spoiler is actually fatter than the coupe spoiler?

Default spoiler depot experience

Viffer , were you able to order your spoiler and have you received it yet?

My experience with them was not too good.
Order on June 18th
10 days later I called to check on status, they said they will paint and ship out in 2 days.
1 week later called again to check...they told me same thing...that they will paint in and ship out asap.
Today july 13th....called to check up...they said it is on backorder, I would have to wait 2 weeks or they will refund my money. WTF!!!!

Sucks cause they're like the only option to get a small subtle spoiler for the roadster. I'm not sure what i want to do, but I don't appreciate getting the run around like that.

central 20 also has one for ZR. A bit expensive since they are coming from Japan. Look pretty good too.

visionboy-
Going Deep used the Stillen spoiler for his roadster. Hopup racing had them for $355 plus paint and install. I'm just starting to think about body work, but I like that one.
