It's really personal preference. I REALLY like having the scoop, because I like the hot rod look. The scoop doesn't come cut out though so you have to have the body shop cut it out, it looks much better and it's functional and will help keep the engine cooler. Also, I haven't seen too many Z's with this hood, so it's kind of unique at least for now

I have had many compliments on the hood by people pulling up next to me. Most people think it looks mean. But in the end it's what you want that matters dude. Once I get my Z back with the body kit on, I will post more pictures, to try to help you decide.

rlw888 I am leaning toward the scoop look. My dealer has never SC a Z yet, so I am trying to work out deal. They have one mechanic that likes to hot rod cars so I am going to wait till he gets back from Nissan training. I am asking them to dyno the car before and after. So far I have Nismo intakes, exhausts and sway bars. I am thinking that the stock clutch is not going to last too long

Yeah, I thought it was a good idea to change out the clutch because, mine was already getting the burning smell a lot, and I thought with the extra power, it would surely go soon! I got a nismo clutch and jwt-flywheel. fly-wheel is really noisy, but it feels soooo much better.

 Yah ... a buddy of mine was reading through the thread and posted something silly. I couldn't delete it so I just edited it out.

It wasn't anything nasty, just silly ... something to the effect of, "I've decided to do this too, I just need someone to give me a SC and someone to install it for free".

Sorry if I caused confusion ...

Congrats on your supercharger. It looks like it fit into the engine bay pretty well. The position of the strut bar looks good too. I'm thinking of putting a supercharger on my roadster and the pictures of your installation were great. Most people out there never take enough pictures under the hood. It's about time someone did. Thanks for your help.......

I haven't done a dyno since I installed it, but Stage 2 brings it up to 382hp (and carb certified)
That is a major plus for Stillen

Same here ... just doesn't seem like many people mod their roadsters ... I would assume due to the fact that they are immediately at a disadvantage due to their weight

Is the warranty toast if you go f/i?

Any idea how much it helped your 1/4mile time?

You mean the factory warranty. Not if you take it to performance nissan Since they installed it, they warranty their work. Also the supercharger has a 3/36,000 mile warranty!

I haven't tracked it, so I don't have any numbers. I haven't even got to drive it more than an hour!!! I took it to the body shop to get a body kit put on and am waiting anxiously to get it back!!!

I wish there was a local dealer here that would warranty the work they did. Most of the folks here flip out if you install a popcharger or dashboard overlays ...
