Now imagine this picture with a hardtop! No changing the lines. Best of both worlds. That would look SICK!!! I love the ZR, just want a hardtop. =)

I just bought a 2004 Chrome Silver Touring ZR (with the 18" stock wheels). So far, all I have received is compliments about it - and I think it looks way better than the coupe - especially with the top down.

Even with the top up, it looks lower than the coupe... I love it!

Well, I think the Boxster is even uglier than the ZR with the top up! Of course the ZR isn't as sleek and sexy as the coupe when the top is up, but top down it is absolutely stunning. I get stopped all the time by people asking about the car. So someone doesn't like it, whooptie doo., they don't have to buy it.

I love the way my ZR looks with the top down - which is pretty much the only way I drive it.

I gotta say I am always getting comments on the car. People always coming up to ask about it - folks calling out nice car, sick ride, etc. Top down this thing gets a ton of attention.

I still think that with the top up it looks unique and good. At first, I was iffy but now I look at it and appreciate the styling and think it looks exotic with both the top up and down.

Modded roadsters look damn sexy...esp those with a rearwing to balance things out. As with most convertibles though, the roadster suffers a little with the top up...and it doesn't have the distinct roofline of the coupe..but..I do like the roadster. Few things in this world are made worse by going topless.

The more I look at the roadster with the top up, the more I like it; very distinctive. (It looks terrific with the top down.)

Didn't someone have a convertible kit built for the Coupe back in '03 that kept the original roof line?

Yeah but it was ugly - I remember him trying to sell it for $49K lol! It was red. The problem was the roof flapped around and it didn't have a clamshell cover.

The production Roadster is MUCH nicer...

This was the original post - but the pics are gone..

Maybe it's just my opinion, but when I was deciding on my Z back in January what drew me to the roadster (other than i wanted a drop top) was the lines were better (to me) than the couple, yes, even with the top up.. maybe it's just my opinion, but it's my car, and if someone doesn't like it. I never said they had to ride in it

IMO the rear looks like the Porsche Speedster that was out in the late 80's early 90's. Damn sexy if I must say.

Speedster out of the 60's you mean, and that is a DEAD-ON statement.

I love my ZR's looks (top up or down). I think with Black, the top melds well with the body. The other day I was gassing up and a guy in a boxter pulled up and said "that is one hot looking car." Still grinning after that
