I was getting 21 to 23 miles per gallon until this time when I went to the Dragon this past weekend. I will probably get around 17-18 this go round.

stock cats should give less mileage. Its all in how you use the pedal. Just think save!

I got test pipes and nismo exhaust and still not able to get past 18mpg. I guess i'm having too much fun doing wot or it's due to exhaust leaks.

Sorry for the noob question. What is this ZR acronym?

Nevermind. Just realized it. ZR= Z Roadster. Think:

30 MPG ??? Dang you must be just running on four cylinders

Normal Driving on a 350z around town is going to net you around 20 mpg on average. anything below that and you got a heavy foot, anything above that you must have your floor mat rolled up behind the accelerator to keep it from going all the way down

Default 18.3 mpg

The avg. speed reading next to the mpg reading is a good judge of how much city vs. highway driving you are doing.

The higher your avg. speed, the more highway milles you are doing, and the higher your mpg should be.

The "avg. speed" I get next to the mpg read out is 32 mph. I'm in alot of stop and go traffic, so my avg. speed is only 32.

If your doing a lot of highway driving at 70 mph and onlyy some city driving, then your avg. speed is probably around 45-50

I'd be surprised if anyone is getting 22-23 mpg with an avg. speed of only 32 mph.

Does your friend have a 350z also? If so he's not doing calc'in it right, there's no way a 350z is going to get 31 mpg on average..

I've only had mine for a month. Every tank is getting slightly better mileage than the one before. First tank: 17.1 mpg. Last: 22.6. The last one had more highway driving on it; the first one had a lot more stop and go city.

My ZR now has a whopping 1700 miles on it. I'm hoping that now it's broken in the mileage will improve some.

went from 03 coupe to 06 ZR and was at first disapointed in the MPG...started out in the 15-16s av per tank to 16-19(city) and 25-27 (hwy) after first 2000 miles and recent 1st oil change..have reset on highway with top up and seen 30.1 but I admit I was in cruise control, doin 64 driving like a wuss trying to see how high I could get it. I do have a hard time keeping my foot out of it and if you have one, you know why! Love this car.

I've ran three tanks through my car and have registered the following:

Tank 1 = 87 dealer gas = drive the car under 4k rpm and pretty easy

23.6 mpg

Tank 2 = 93 Exxon = drive the car under 5,500 rpm but really get on it a lot

21.7 mpg

Tank 3 = 93 Chevron = drive the car normal; 5,500-6000 rpm a few times, lots of 4k sweet spot driving (car sounds awesome at 4k)

22.9 mpg

Based on some tests I did after I filled up the tanks (babied it for 30 miles), I'm fairly convinced that getting 24.5 mpg is quite easy if you drive it right (this is around the city). Again I live in the Round Rock area of Austin, TX and my drive to work is 14 miles each way. It is all surface streets but most have speed limits of 45+. I have moderate traffic in my commute; about 7 miles of heavy city traffic, and 7 miles of Farm to Market open roads (45-55 mph).

I think on the highway doing 70 it'd be easy to get 26-28

I just did another 5 1/2 hour trip from Northern Virginia to the Outer Banks. There was one hour of stop and go driving until I got out of traffic. After that, highway all the way for 4+ hours. Average was 24.4 for the tankful (Shell 93). This is the best mileage I've had yet. Average speed was a bit north of 40 (all that stop and go really held it down - once I got going average speed was around 60 - 65).
