With the Stillen spoiler is installed, is there any problems with cars behind you being able to see the third brake light above the trunk?

Also, how big of holes do you have to drill in the trunk and are the badges just glued on? I assume you must remove them in order for the spoiler to fit?

Default stillen

Holes are very small(don't recall the drill bit used) I was shocked that screws that small would do anything to keep it down.
I did not have to remove the nissan emblem, but the 350z emblem I took off prior to installing.
No idea on the brake light, if I remember will check it out tomorrow.

Default Got it today!

Got the spoiler today, all glossy black with a few parts roughed up from shipping in the cardboard. I still have to take it to a body shop to get painted (can't do it myself).

Two questions -

1 - It appears the spoiler will clear both the 350Z and the Nissan hamburger emblem, did you HAVE to remove the 350Z emblem, or did you just want to?

2 - The mounting instructions I received appear like they are for the coupe, not roadster. Did your instructions differentiate? I am mainly concerned about the spacing for the screws.

Will send pics later!

Thx,

There are two different versions of the spoiler, one is for the coupe and one for the Roadster, make sure you got the right one...

I had to remove the Nissan hamburger emblem because it was in the way of the spoiler, can't remember about the 350z emblem tho, I think it will fit, but I had them remove that also, looks cleaner IMO...

I didn't have to remove the hamburger emblem... I removed the 350z logos a few weeks before I ordered the spoiler, so have no idea about those. Weird that it was diff. for us Built2shredZ. I always thought my trunk was repainted(bought my car used), maybe they put the emblem slightly higher than stock.
My instructions were for a coupe as well, no diff.

Thanks for the input. I do have the right spoiler, as it fits the trunk nicely (well, it will after the tape is on). Will talk to the body shop today about painting.

Thanks again,

The wing covers the entire back of the trunk so the emblems have to come off, but you can put them back on afterwards.... Unless I'm not remembering right Have to go look at my trunk again

Default wing

The wing is hollow, it only has about 3/4" contact space with the trunk on the bottom. I test fit it before with the emblem and had no problems. So I just mounted it with the emblem in place

They must of changed the mold since I bought mine because I just went out into the garage and the spoiler covers the entire bottom of the trunk lid.... So both the 350z and hamburger emblem had to come off....

Did you buy yours from Stillen or did u get it on Ebay? Wondering if maybe you have a replica thats made different <shrug> or they may of changed the mold since I bought mine...

I bought it directly from stillen. It's possible that the molds are slightly diff. All I know is that I did not take off the hamburger, and it fits 100% flush

When you get a chance take a picture of the back end, I'm curious to see how much they changed it since I bought mine...
