As far as the Z's profile is concerned, it is the beautiful roof that makes the car. Take that away and the Z looks like a cake on wheels. Put the top up and it looks like it has a huge black Pringle potato chip on it or some huge accordian.

Coupes > 'Verts.

Always.

Well, that's why GOD made more than vanilla.

i wish there was a hardtop convertible... i woulda got that in a heartbeat! i myself am not the convertible type though... this is just my opinion but convertibles are for people who wanna be seen, i try not to let anyone know i drive a Z... i park in the furthest parking spots i usually always have my windows up... i keep to myself, thats the way i am. and if i had the choice, id live by myself for the rest of my life. i guess u can call me a "psycho".

Driving a roadster has nothing to do with being seen... Have you ever driven a 350z Roadster? The car is just plain fun to drive... It's about the driving experience with the top down, has nothing to do with being vein... At least for me anyways since I got a pretty ugly mug....

If you didn't want attention they why didn't you buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord? I bet you bought the Z so people could see you get in and out of the car

Let me guess, your a 18 year old who's insecure with his manhood so you need to buy ""Macho Items" to make yourself feel more secure...

I can appreciate your opinion on not liking the looks of the Roadster, but you seem to enjoy going out of your way to try and insult people for there choice of car...

I like the ZR top down look but I really don't care for the look with the top up. I have to admit the feeling of the top down driving the ZR is top notch.

People always think the same thing about owning a motorcycle.. It's to be seen, and to "try" and be cool. I could care less about those things.. It's about that open and free feeling. I admit the Z coupe looks much better with the top up, but top down I feel the convert looks better.
Both are great cars, go drive both and see which one YOU like better. I looked and drover 6 or 7 coupes before I decided to drive a roadster. That one quick trip in the roadster made up my mind.

I had a coupe and loved it. I have a Roadster now and love it even more. Everyone says that the coupe looks better when the roadster top is up, which I agree with, unless you put a spoiler on it. Check out the other threat about spoilers on the roadster. it makes it look more than decent. on the hot days with the top down, forgwt about the coupe. takes the fun level to a whole other level. this is of course my opinion, which I think is the purpose of this thread.

I bought my Roadster because I loved the way it looked, top up or down. And I love the way it drives, top up or down. In my opinion, it's about the best performance convertible value available today. In my area, I see few Zs and most of them are Coupes. It's nice to have something that every T, D and H doesn't have.

+! and you really just have to drive a convertible to really get it. I was like some here as well. Verts are heavier and they don't handle as well because less strucyural integrity. I tried out the Z coupe and loved the torque it provided over the S2k and RX8 I was also comparing. Then my girlfriend now fiancee asked about the roadster. We test drove just to say we did. I pulled out into the highway accelerating hard because otherwise you'll get squashed. The feel and sounds of the ZR were like having sex the first time you thought now this is a ride I want to feel all the time I never looked back. The ZR is amazing and if you add the Nismo exhaust it only gets better. Get a ZR and find a plastic surgeon cause your face is going to crack from that big *** grin.

For me the roadster seats don't go back far enough so it is too uncomfortable and I'm about 6ft. Plus I wanted a coupe anyways.

I love the Z. I had an 03 coupe and then got an 04 ZR. I wouldn't go back. As mentioned before, there's nothing that ourweighs the benefits of dropping the top. I love it.

The coupe was my favorite car... I loved how it looked.. Loved how the rear looked... Went to the dealer.. They had a roadster... took it for a spin.. Dam.. Once you have that air all around you.. Its crazy.. Nothing can beat it.. And they are both slow.. But thats why they make aftermarket toys..
