Default Opening top problem...

Hey guys, been having trouble with my top the past week. whenever i open the top it goes down and fold up fine in the top down storage area, but when the cover comes down to close, it won't shut all the way. there is about a half inch of space between where it is not flush. i opened it up halfway and checked to see if anything was interfering it from folding and shutting correctly and couldn't find anything. the top cover shuts fine when the top is up. i'd take it to my local dealer right away, but my warranty just went out a couple months ago...anybody have this problem before?

Default Me too

I am experiencing the same problem with my 2004 roadster. If I reverse the process until the toneau is straight up and then try again, it will snap down. Sometimes I have to cycle it a couple of times to get it to pop all the way down. It seems to be worse at lower temperatures. I'm out of warranty also. Would love to hear a solution.

try checking the weather strippings... had the same problem once and found out that the weather strips wasn't all the way in causing the top not to close down...

You if the problem is consistent like mine was, then you probably will have to take it in for servicing. If the top is compressing inside the correctly then the problem is either the tonneau cover or the clips and sensors that secure the tonneau cover. The tonneau can be adjusted and that is what the technicians tried to do twice, but eventually they had to replace the sensors and the locking clips.

Sounds like faulty shims on the brackets.....
