Uprev can't find ecu all of a sudden?
For some reason I can't get my computer to connect to the ecu suddenly. Same ecu, same cable. My DLC port has power to pin 16 and ground to pin 4. I have a cincy little obd-2 scanner, and it works perfectly fine. Just before complete Inoperability, I had to old the cable just right for it to connect, and in trying to fix that, it has stopped working altogether. I thought it was my DLC, but now I'm wondering if it's the rinky-dink design of the uprev cable.
Here's what's happening, I connect the uprev cable to my laptop, it recognizes something is plugged in with the "ba-ding" noise. I plug in the DLC side of the cable, and turn on the key. Then I open cipher or rom editor, and it says "not connected". No amount of wiggling makes it work.
I suppose I'm the only one this has ever happened to ever in the history of time. That's usually my luck.

I'd suggest you try connecting to another OBD-II equipped Nissan and opening Cipher. It should be able to link to the ECM and that may tell you whether it's the post or cable. I've had my UpRev cable for years and it never fails to find the ECM, but can sometimes have problems finding BCM or full ABS.
