05 ZR or 05 Z4?
Well, I switched from Geico to State Farm and am now insuring 3 cars for the old price of 2. The Gecko just wasn't nice, I guess. They wanted $521/6 months vs $348/6 months from State Farm.
I do have AAA plus and might take the spare out eventually, but the Z is going on a roadtrip in a few weeks, so the spare is going to stay for the time being.
The gas mileage doesn't bother me, really, but it was a benefit to the Z4. Either way, it is not much different than my DD.
The stock tires leave a little something to desire, but then again I think it is ranked 42 out of 44 on Tire Rack in its category(Bridgestone Potenza RE040).
The tires probably won't last that much longer anyways.
Has anyone actually gone to a 17 inch rim in place of the 18? Lighter with cheaper tire selection, I would assume.

After owning 7 vettes it's a different car than the Z. Only one made more power the 1998. You have to drive the Z as opposed to point and squirt with the vettes. As far as reliability the vettes are junk I never kept one more than 50k because they would fall apart. The Z is a drivers car with good handling and decent power. As with any sportscar you can never have enough power. I'm planning on buying a GT-R after it's been on the market a few years to get the bugs out.
