Don't all soft tops fade? I wasn't aware blue faded any faster than black, especially if properly cared for. I read some tips for care at the following link. Shouldn't that be adequate? http://www.carcareonline.com/viewarticle.aspx?art=3

I certainly don't claim to be an expert on this subject matter. However, blue dye, as with most dyes, fade rapidly in the sunlight. It is very difficult to restore. Really impossible. Black will fade, but it generally does not look so objectionable for many years. AND it can be brought back to life MUCH easier than any other color.
I purchased the ppw and love it, I also happen to live at the base of Pikes Peak so it seemed a good fit. I am interested in a clear bra however I was told that it may not look good on a ppw car because of "yellowing". If that is the case I have the blue top and I would not like the standard black bra option. I am more interested in a bra that matches the blue top. Anybody have any options? Thanks folks.
Avoid the clear bra on white. We also have a white FX45 and the dealer basically slaps the clear bra on every vehicle. The FX we bought was built 2/03. It's been in inventory a while, we've had it for 3 weeks (1200 miles on odometer when bought). Came from MO; however, I hate the clear bra. It is on the mirrors, hood, and part of the fender, as well as in the door handle recesses and it is noticeably a different shade, i.e., very yellowish in tint. I mean, you know it is there...not fooling anyone. I don't know about removal and all, but I'm going to press for them to remove it and give me a credit toward some accessory or something. When we got it, I thought it would be ok. But I never thought I liked it, and now owning a car with it on there I'm positive I don't like it! Find yourself another solution.
