I like the spoiler as well. You said it is a OEM spoiler. Is it the same one as in the picture from the spoiler factory.com? Yours looks better.

absolutely LOVE the exhaust sound... i find myself pushing a little deeper on the throttle just to hear the engine *start* to roar before shifting...

i traded in my '03 coupe on the roadster and have noticed *no* reduced handling characteristics or acceleration... the only draw back is the trade off for a more notable exhaust tone because of the softtop - you miss out on the distinctive intake whine from the engine that i loved to hear in my coupe...

SpoilerFactory, on another board (350zmotoring.com) there is a member that has reported having "quality" issues with "TheSpoilerFactory" spoiler for the 350ZR. I was thinking about buying one from you but after seeing that post I am nervous.

What sort of 'quality issues did the others report? I'm also considering buying one from the Spoiler Factory.

I got my spoiler from the spoiler factory the other day and there are pinholes in the paint and small blems in the fiberglass under the paint.
They are going to send me another, I will give them one chance to correct the problems.
There are also dust particles underneath the clear.
Quality is very poor to say the least.

Default Spend the extra $$$

And get the spoiler from Nissan!!! It will fit. Mine is drilled and bolted on. It will fit perfectly!

If your dealer is telling you it won't fit he is a moron!

Well, I gave SpoilerFactory time to reply to my query. Since they did not here is the post from the other board.

Original:
Well my new spoiler from "The Spoiler Factory" arrived today. I opened the box and found that it had a 3 inch blem in the paint. Also no instructions and a pretty weak copy of a template? I held it up to my roadster and where the holes are supposed to go it looks like it seats funny..... It’s going back for a full refund including shipping costs. Thank God it was on a credit card. So now I agree the Roadster looks better with no spoiler

Followup:
Here is an update. I shipped the defective spoiler back and emailed them about the blemish on the spoiler and the cheap construction. They emailed me back and said they would repair it but no refund. I emailed them back that I was disputing it on my Visa and they had better not ship it back or I would have a free spoiler!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THE SPOILER FACTORY! BAD BIZ PRACTICES! Even if they had been nice this is not good customer service....

This one from SpoilerDepot.com actually looks a lot better. They even have a PDF template you can download from the order page. It's a little over $200 painted, but if it's quality work then I'd pony up the extra $.

Anyone have any comments about these guys?

My concern with the SpoilerDepot is that it does not say it's for the Roadster. I am not convinced yet that the spoiler for the coupe fits the roadster. I purchased a OEM spoiler from a person on eBay. I did this before I realized the trunk lids are different between the coupes and roadsters. All I got was the spoiler, no template, no installation instructions, no nuts to connect to the bolts on the back of the spoiler. After just setting the spoiler on the trunk lid it looks like it will not sit completely flush, but it is hard to tell because the bolts are in the way. I am not going to drill holes to find that it does not fit.

I am going to send my spoilerfactory spoiler back and get one unpainted instead. I will have my body shop prep and paint and then i know it will be perfect.
If i wait for another painted one i am sure i will find something wrong with it!

SixRB6,

I assume the one you are showing here is the from the coupe that you have on your roadster?

If you can, please also post pictures directly from the back. My dealership swears up & down that the coupe spoiler has a 'gap' in it when it's mated up to the roadster trunk.

Thanks.

I am at work now it's 10:30am. When I get home I will post a picture. I can tell you there is no gap at all.

Ok,don't take this the wrong way. But it looks like at the front of the spoiler there is a gap between the spoiler and the trunk lid. Like the side of the trunk lid dives down faster than the spoiler curves down. Is it the same on the coupes?

They are a different curvature, my OEM spoiler was stuck on w/ tape, no screws, that's probably why they had to screw his on. The spoiler isn't made for the convertible because the trunk has a different curvature, although it's quite similar.
