Default need a new top cover!!! please help recommend places in LA for replacement

hi, does anyone know where to get a cheap or decent priced cover+labor for my 350z roadster??? i checked with performance nissan quoted me $3,300!! thats insane and this is ONLY for the cover, the mechanics works just fine.

im out of warranty and the dam thing ripped where everyone elses eventually does (by the window).

I bought a new Easyon top online (Ebay) for 537 shipped, I was quoted 385 to install but I'm doing the install myself tomarrow.

Check with Carmax. The one down here in SD quote me $1000 for Part+Labor and this was for OEM

wow i didnt know carmax fixes convertible covers thanks ill try that.
flkentz: have u installed the top before?? seems like you'll save a ton if you do it yourself but unfortunately im not as talented.

No, first time. It was quite a chore to do but it is doable if you have some mechanical skill AND are patient. Now that I've been done a few day and driven it some it looks like it needs to be tightened up in a few places.

they are a very good shop, they work with rusnak. they did my BMW back few years ago and came out good. you can also get a complete top with the frame used from a wrecking yard for $800 and change it at home. will take you 45 minuets to do.

thanks! ill call for pricing. i got a quote from city auto top in fullerton and they are quoting me $1200. .. =/

well performance nissan in duarte, some guy named mike quoted me $3,300.
Ken Sorensen Top Shop Inc: $1,500
City Auto Top in Fullerton: $1,200
..hmmm what to do, what to do...good thing its summer and it rarely rains in socal.

:0) bought the top from topsonline through ebay. $539 shipped for the cloth top + $300 for installation/labor. Saved a TON of $. Hit me up if you need info.

The labor to do the job should be huge.

$300 for labor is crazy! It looks great Is that the OEM twillweave, or aftermarket stayfast?
