Thanks, definitely put a lot of time and effort into building it. Changed my mind a few times from show car to more race, but definitely a kick @$$ car in my mind no doubt.
Does your roll bar pass the "broomstick" test??????
If so, can you still open and close the soft top?????

I am not sure what the broomstick test is.
Yes my top is still fully functional. The cage is partially removable.
The cage was made by Bell Chassiworks who make SCCA and NASA tube frame race cars around Atlanta, so I know all the proper specification for roll cages. Mine did not meet all the requirements because I would not allow the cage to cut into my dash or effect my interior door panels.

I, also, don't want to ruin my interior or dash or top. Is your cage certified for running the 1/4 faster than 10?

Unfortunately The guys at Bell Chassisworks do not build cages for NHRA, so I am not sure of the specifications they require. I can say that I used to race at MIR, and there were a few guys there with convertible mustangs running 11's and no one stopped to ask them about not having a cage (they were in convertibles but kept their tops up like I did).
As for the broomstick test, I am not sure as the car has been in the shop for a while now, and I have been working out of town for quite some time. Next time I get back I can check, but that won't be for quite some time.

Sweet! I've been thinking about a cage in my car, just to run the 1/4 on weekend. I was afraid to lose the top functionality, which would be stupid. I had all but given up on this, as others led me to believe it was impossible. You, sir, have renewed my resolve in finding a local shop to build a cage for me.

For those that have not seen my car, the online pictures and article from Turbo Magazine have finally been released. The article came out in the October issue.

Since these were taken at NOPI last year, I have removed all the graphics and put a CF rear lip on to match the two-tone CF look.

^^ Hot looking ride. Too bad the photos don't do it justice. Time to invest in a good camera and take advantage of some on the beautiful backgrounds for some poster quality car pictures.
I look forward to seeing more on this ride.
