Default 1st Problem

Right in the center of my tonneau cover the paint has been rubbed off. I don't see any rubbing on the trunk. I will be making an appointment with the service advisor for them to look at it. For now, at least its in the center and it looks even.

Default Update

I have an appointment Monday to get my tonneau cover adjusted. My dealer's service dept wasn't aware of what to do about it until I showed them a printout of the other thread on the top. The reason for Monday is that they have a company come in on that day and repair paint chips etc. on vehicles. The service advisor said that you can't tell that a chip has been there on a car once they get through. They are gonna keep the car for the day and I'm gonna drop it off and pick it up on my way from work. They are going to give me a loaner car. I am going to stay until the tonneau cover is done then go onto work since I seem to know more about it than they do. I'd also like to say thanks to yall for posting the problems.

Default Update 2

They removed the extra shim as described on this site and now my tonneau cover is even. The service advisor told me that their paint chip repair service would repair the chip so I wouldn't be able to tell that it was ever there. Well, when I got there to pick the car up all they had done was put some paint on it that their body shop mixed up and that mix didn't exactly match. I told the service advisor that it was unacceptable and I have to take it back tomorrow. Their paint chip repair service promised me again that I wouldn't be able to tell. I told the service advisor that I wouldn't accept it until I couldn't tell that the chip was ever there. I know its a small chip and not that noticable but Nissan caused the problem in the first place. I feel that they should repair it back to original even if they end up having to repaint the whole tonneau cover. The dealer contracts with an outside paint chip repair service from what I gathered.

Default Final

Picked car up today and you can't tell that the chip was ever there. The paint chip repair service did a good job.
