Default [Help] Removing 2006 Roadster Taillights

I opened the trunk, then I saw the 3 screws along the taillights removed them but as I try to pop out the headlights it seems like there's a piece near the corner (closest) to the wheel, underneath holding it. I try to pop it off at all angles (was careful to not break anything) but it won't pop out near that corner.

I saw a video on someone installing new tail lights but as they took off their stock one, the lights popped out right after the 3 screws.

Any ideas?

Why would you want to swap out the OEM LED tail lights is my first thought, unless they got damaged, or swapping them for the OEM JDM LEDs like I have, or you're doing some other body work that requires them to be removed?

There should be 2 plastic tabs that hold it in place so the 3 bolts can be screwed in afterwards. The tail lights must be pulled towards you, not up or down. Otherwise the tabs will break. Not sure if you bought this used, but it's possible the previous owner could have done something to make it permanent for some reason.

I don't think the roadster tail lights would be engineered differently to be installed, but another roadster owner should chime in if that's the case.

Also, you mention headlights at one point. I'm assuming that's a typo because headlights are a different ball game.

Roadster tail lights are the same. Remove the 3 bolts, pull towards you and to the side. Do not pull up or you will break the tabs.See the pic for the tab locations.

Yeah, the headlights was a typo, and yeah I was removing the bumper possibly for a new one since the other one got damaged.
Thanks
