Do convertibles have a different suspension????
I realize that probably sounds like a stupid question, but I have been researching upgrading the suspension on my 2004 roadster, and I keep coming across "for coupe only" or similar disclaimers. I even noticed that the NISMO sway bars are apparently for coupes (or at least they specify that on the Nissan/NIMSO site). Why is this? Is there something physically different between the suspensions on the coupe and the roadster?? I can't imagine why there would be, but several advertisements and websites keep indicating that there is a difference! Maybe it's just their way of discouraging folks from modifying their roadsters suspensions??? I can't imagine why there would be ANY difference suspension-wise, but things indicate there may be one. Have any of you encountered this? I'm thinking I can just ignore it and assume that what fits one will fit the other, but I thought I'd ask here, in case there IS something different.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

There is no difference in the stock suspension components.
However, some aftermarket suspension components use lower spring rates and since there is a difference in the weight and weight distribution of the roadster compared to the coupe, some manufacturers' aftermarket suspension components aimed at the coupe may not be appropriate for the roadster. This is specific to each manufacturer product, so I would check with the manufacturer for their recommendation as to whether or not it should be used on a roadster or only on a coupe.
