Hey guys, I just got off the phone with someone from Shine Auto to talk to them about making a removable hard top (similar to mine; a smoothline's top). Production of this top is possible if we have more than 15 people who would be serious about buying one. Shine auto is an amazing body kit manufacturer, and I've seen many of their kits in person. I've also seen that their kits often fit better than originals! Production wouldn't begin for a while, but step number one is seeing the actual interest for this product.
I'm in no way affiliated with Shine, and am merely doing this to help out my fellow Z owners get a better product from a better company.
I'm really trying to push for this... Because if we can get them started, we could try to convince them into making a Spoon Style top addition or something...

What's the list for? People pushing for the hardtop?
I also emailed shine about it yesterday, hopefully the more people ask about they will go for it
Also you were one of the people who bought the smoothline, all in all was it worth it?
I'm one of the first two who bought it. I actually pre ordered mine lol. No I don't think it was worth it for what I paid. Would like to see a better shop make these things.
I feel like fitment would need to be at least 9/10 because it needs to be sealed and everything due to it being a convert. and a lot of body kits now a these days don't have that kind of fitment. I'd be so hesitant to get one.. unless there was some sort of professional install at the place

For the price i paid, its not worth it. Fitment is crap.still trying to figure out how to fix the weatherstripping on the windows. Customer service sucks. No reply to emails after getting paid.
Item took longer than scheduled. The instructions and the products do not match 100%.
True! However, after seeing what my $800+ carbon fenders fit like on my car... I would NOT buy something from seibon any time soon, especially something like a top which you can't "fenangle" to fit. My fenders were off by a few inches on both sides, and weren't even off in the same place. Then when I tried to get better moulded ones I left several messages to the place I bought them from and to seibon. Guess who got no help until he turned to the forums to complain? This guy. At that point though, it was already too late to get a new set.
But if you're brave(!) go for the seibons... Just be ready for a possible nightmare on a several thousand dollar purchase lmao.
I see what you mean. You'd have to be super lucky to find a body part fitting 10/10
especially when you need it to fit perfectly from rain or air sockets for a convertible.
