Default Top jerks back on highest point when closing

Has anyone else experienced the top jerking back slightly when opening when it is at its highest point? It just not a smooth action. If so, how did you correct it. Everything else works fine. I have an 04 ZR Touring 6 speed.

Mod, please correct the thread title to read "when opening" not closing. Thank you.

It's probably related to your guide wires... they may need changing - Are they the originals (04)?

Mine (05) has always done that - it's a small jerk tho, not bone-jarring

Normal for my 06. Don't even notice any more.
