just enherited an 04.... sigh!
So I just inherited a 2004 350Z Touring that has had a hard life! Long story short, it was totaled at 85K miles (I don't know the history, but I do have the carfax). The car looks decent, but every panel is off ever so slightly. Obviously, the "total" bent the car up pretty good.
I just put a battery in it, hopefully it doesn't have charging issues, but time will tell. Everything works, the car runs well, but from dead stop, upon acceleration, the trans has a jolt/clunk but otherwise it seems to shift fine.
I have not decided if I am going to keep it or sell, but the longer I own it, the more I like it. While its had a rough life, I am thinking (if I keep it), I am going to have fun with it.... maybe autocross, bodykit, who knows. So far I am into the car for the cost of towing it back from Arkansas to Texas, feeding the guy I suckered into roadtripping with me and a battery.

What kind of Title does it have? I have read many stories about guys who can't get insurance or can get only limited insurance on their previously totaled cars.
Good luck!

Welcome and congratz! Perhaps as time goes by you will have a better feel for how long you want to keep it. If you make a list of repairs /upgrades with costs, that might add perspective.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
