For folks looking at new rims and tires for roadster -- take a look, rims are Enkei LM1, tires Falken GR Beta FK-451 -- 245/40 front 275/40 rear, after less than 500 miles I grew to really dislike the stock REs and the stock 18 rims didn't leave too many tires choices, hence I decided to change both rims and tires , discount tire direct treated me great and I am extemely happy with my new shoes. My car feels much much more planted and secure and the tires seem quieter in colder temps.

I personally grew to quickly dislike the factory "Maxima look-a-like" 18' $1200 optional rims and tires on my ZR.

I guess all of the enviable looks I have been getting for the past two days is because the new wheels are soooo ugly.

 

personally i like them, i think most rims look good on the Z but hey im easy to please

They look good. Not my favorites I have seen, but I like em. Thats the point though.. get what YOU like. If it were up to most of the people here, everyone would have Volks.

OneHappyDog - I like your avatar. Nice Rims too! I've got a Black Roadster so I'm thinking something along the lines of a gunmetal or black RIM but that won't be for a while. I should probably pay off more of the car before I start buying parts for her.

 

--- Right on everyone thanks for the support, there are Many Many GREAT choices once you decide to change out the tire and rims sizes to something different. I just wanted to show you all my personal choice to help anyone else in the same boat, whether you like or or not --- at least I was able to help. :-)

Some of you guys sound like a bunch of jerks. If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.

The guy wasn't asking for your approval on his new rims and tires...he was simply sharing what he just bought. They make him "extremely happy". He passed on a lead from a place that treated him good and thought he'd try to help someone else out.

yep i did remove the front bolts, i felt ok about doing so after reading some other threads posted here indicating the only purpose for these bolts was to prevent someone from mounting the factory rears on the front, actually its seems most new rims will require folks to do the same and remove these bolts - happy motoring
