Default 19x12 -29(66) 8 month update

Well, for those who read that other post I did, your probably already hip to what I was up to with the 245/35/19 -12(66). For those of you that Haven't, and are planning to go in the direction of extreme negative offset with the sick looking stretch and "very minimal" camber, this is more like a mythbuster/ realistic Review.

Now this wear is definitely something you can expect without a camber kit (which I have been too lazy to install) but my situation was a little bit worse. I had gone back and forth from Frisco to Stockton twice and back and forth from Stockton to sac 3 times a week for 4 months with a fair amount of wear... however.....

Wheels coming off bead:
At the beginning of the cold season the dramatic drop in temperature cause my tire pressure to drop to about 9 PSI. Me being preoccupied with the fittings and alterations of mine and my groomsmen's tuxes, the venue, cake, seating arrangement, and 300 guests traveling near and far... it legitimately slipped my mind. I road around with ... "flat" tires for about a week and a half.

one of the rainiest mornings while on one of the worst paved stretches of road on Highway 50, i eventually hit a pretty bad pothole which knocked my tire off and messed my rear Rim up:

Luckily due to the heavy downpour at the time, I was only doing about 55 and was only about a mile away from an off-ramp. It's cool though. $140, a donut, 15 minute drive to kwicksilver, and a 20 minute wait... then i was good to go.

For the sake of prosperity, I ended up punking out and going with 295s on the rear. Which don't look tooooooooooo bad.... but :/ .....

The rears didn't wear very much before the flat. But I am also at -4°. I have been running these 295s for 4 months now and there is no noticeable wear. I am going to go down to 285s for my next set. I think that will be a perfect balance of patch and poke. So can it pop the bead under regular driving conditions?, probably. Did it happen to me? No. Did my tire fond its way off the bead? yes. Will your tires wear out extra fast? I'd bet money on it. Did it happen to me? ...sort of(not counting rolling around flat)

Splitting
had no splitting of any kind from any of the wheels. But again. That I can only assume depends on where you get tires. Could they split? Sure. Did it happen to me? No.

2-1/2 space
I have had no spacer trouble. the only thing I've noticed is a single tick in my rear wheels upon changing direction(forwards or reverse). I did some research and that is apparently a common thing with Zs and I have to put some kind of Grease or something back there to fix it. Can you have spacer trouble? I've hear that if you buy spacers that aren't forged troubles can arise. Did it happen to me? No(I got forged).

After wanting to go wide, then doing so on my daily driver, Id say the biggest woe of it all will be buying GOOD expensive tires constantly. so get the patch as flat as you can, check tire pressuer like the mail, and get an account at your favorite tire shop. Other then that, from my experience, do it. I'd do it again. with the right set up and as long as your car doesn't get vandalized by people that wanna control planet earth (like mine was) worth every penny.
