I've not managed to fix as of yet but I have found a loose cable inside the storage lid it looks like it goes to the roof closing latch think the motor for the cable has had it too trying to find a replacement but anyone I speak to that have a zr that they are breaking never gets back to me about a price

 

Thats what happen to me too. You can take that cable and stick it inside the little hole on the motor and the hit the roof open or roof close button and the motor with suck that cable back in. I have one of these motors I can sell you for like $50.

 

Yea there's something not right in there the latch that is attached to that cable if it's all the way open/closed the button don't do anything but if it's the other way it makes the usual noise. I'm not sure witch way way is open or shut on the latch.. id take it if I was in the states unfortunately I'm in the uk thanks though I appreciate the offer.
