Googling this issue seems to only show 5th bow problems which I don't think I have. I recently inherited a 2004 Roadster from my mother in law with 28K on it. Of course like the TA we inherited neither were taken care of and need quite a bit of work. I've gotten the major stuff solved but need to replace the top again because the glass is falling out. The issue I have right now is that the windows go down, seats go forward and the top comes up. The storage compartment will not open. It seemed like it tried to move once then just nothing. It does appear to release but won't move. Is there some releases or a manual way to get the compartment open. My thought is that it needs lubrication or a motor inside is gone/going bad. There is no manual in this car.
If this has been covered in another thread please point me that direction.

 

Check out lift motors in trunk. You have to take out liners in trunk to get to motors.

 

any updates on this at all I know it’s been a few years?? I’m in this current situation now
