Question break in?

Any ideas for breaking in for my new 350z touring roadster? Is user manual good enough which tells me to hold it under 4000 rpm and no "flooring" for 1.2K miles? (it is hard to hold back..................)

Yeah, it's very hard. If I were you I'd really try to follow Nissans recommendations. I just poped the cherry on mine the other week but before I did I chaged to oil out...as a percaution. To be perfectly honest I went above 4000 RPM a few time during the break in......some idiot in a Celica with 500 lbs of body kits thought he could take me off the stop light....not.

Please do a search as there has been discussions in the past on this subject.
In my opinion, I don't believe that you need to limit your RPM's and think it can actually be worse for your car in respect to getting your rings to seat properly, but I am not going to re-start that argument all over again.

One afternoon at about 400 miles, I gave mine a good wringing out: redline a dozen times or so 1st or second (AT), held it in the 4-5k range in some corners for control purposes (AT, remember). From there until after 1200 miles, babied the thing only going over 4k a few times here and there.

Now, at 1400, limited only by the road available
