I used to have an S2000, and contemplated getting one. I would like to see Nissan make one but there has been much inquiry and it looks like Nissan does not plan to make one. When I talked to a Nissan engineer/rep at the Baltimore Auto show, he had mentioned confirmation of a "folding hard top" but Nissan scrapped it due to the cost---was like 5000.00 more on top of the convertible price. I personally would pay the extra $$$$ for a folding hardtop. I have had two "rag top" cars--Mitsubishi spyder gst and an S2000 and I would prefer an optional hardtop or folding one. Canvas tops or "soft tops" require a garage or covering to prevent leaks from wear and fading where as a hardtop would have a better seal plus less care than a canvas top would require. Just my opinion!
