I've thought about doing the same thing, but the more I thought about it, the less I liked the idea. I'd love to see pics of the brushed aluminum dash kits in a roadster to possibly sway me back.

I have my dash apart right now and I'm sanding off the textured finish. I beleve the aluminum dash kits look a little cheesy. One of the sponsor sights sells one but theres no picture of it installed. So I'm painting mine with an aluminum color single stage paint. I'll post pics as soon as its done. The sanding is a tedious process but I think it will be worth it in the end.

n8vz sorry it took so long to get back to you. The paint I used was Nissan silver roof rack paint which is a single stage paint but I put a clear coat over it and it looks great. I smoothed out the pod pockets so they look one piece and painted the pods silverstone. I will post pics this weekend with the new bodykit.

Just got my 350Z a week ago and saw the picture of the aluminum dash kit. Which product is this? Is this a picture from the company or did you install the kit? BTW, if I buy a kit how difficult is installation? Looking for info to get started on modifying!
