Default Winter tires

As a new roadster owner and living in a climate that has around two months of snow I would be grateful to hear which winter tires are recommended by those that know....

I went with a set of Michelin Artic Alpine's on 16" steel rims. They seemed to work well for the month or so I had them on. I got a good deal at Active Green and Ross in Toronto (less than $900 all in).

There are few posts about ZR in winter. Do a search. Be careful with the top when you try to get the snow off it when the temperture is below freezing. For the price of a set of Michelin's and wheels, you can get a beater for the winter.
