A New 350Z Roadster Owner
Hi,
I just bought a new '04 350Z Touring Roadster (silver w/ black top) last week. I am loving it. I had an '04 BMW 325Ci Convertible that was a lemon. It did not want to start in the morning and it hesitated as I drove it down the highway (gas would cut out). I had always loved the Z series (I had a 1994 300Z) and decided to ditch the BMW (I'll never buy one again) and go back to Japanese engineering. It was a happy move for me.

Congrats! I don't think you will be dissapointed. I owned a 328is before my 04 ZR. One differnce you will notice is dealer service, BMW is far superior overall (however considering you just bought a lemon you may disagree).
The Z is a lot rougher around the edges than a 3-series, such as the gear shifter vibrating at idle and stiffer ride. But this is basically all part of the sports car experience versus the luxury/sport experience.

My local BMW dealer is my Nissan dealer as well, and I have one of both. :-)
My wife derives a 328i it is a lot of up-keep but a fun fore door.
I was going to buy a z4, but then I saw the 350zr and never looked back. Now I have the best of all worlds my Z, a BMW service Dept. and a HOT wife.javascript:smilie('')

I am now in the process of ordering a 2005 Roadster to replace my 330i. I have hated the 330i almost from the day I leased it. I think BMW's are WAY over rated!

I have a 330xi that is a phenomenal car, not one single solitary problem in 2.5 years of ownership, none. I love the car, especially for Buffalo winters. I couldn't bring myself to shell out the $$$$$$$ for the Z4, especially for what I perceive is less performance for the money. Congrats on your purchase beachbum, you will never regret it! I look for excuses to drop the top and take off on a ride just b/c I love driving my ZR so much.

Congrats from another new Roadster owner
Cograts!!!
I also got mine over the weekend. 2005 Roadster in Yellow (Sunshine yellow i think) and black. I was so stunned by beautiful paint job, i didn't even look at the window sticker... I just wrote a check and drove it home hehe
Other than automatic tranny, it's exactly what I wanted. Now if I can just find me a 69' Stingray in yellow and black, my collection is complete...

Uh, actually it's called "Premium Sunshine Yellow" in Japan.
See http://www2.nissan.co.jp/Z/top.html and look for the small picture near the bottom.

I want the japanese version!! U get to drive from the right side and you can finally see your gas door in the mirror...I did notice something weird. The E-brake is still on the left side of the console. That seems like a pain in the *** to reach over to pull it up.
