Does anyone on the board use their Roadster as a daily commuter?

Yes, when I can drive with top down.

If I am unable to drive with top down, my options are...

1. Drive with top up
2. Drive my gas guzzling SUV

Since I got my ZR, I drove with my top up only 4 times. 3 out of four times it rained unexpectedly, and one time my wife didn't want a bad hair day in the morning commute...

If that happens my ZR is sitting safely in the garage and I get to run over everyone in my big bad black SUV

Since my home is also the location of my studio, I don't commute. However, I go out almost everyday and always choose the Z unless it's raining heavily. And I'll keep it at home if there is any sign of snow. Other than that, it's the Z!

I'm good for 15miles each way each day. The only time the top is up is while I'm parked at work. It's a great way to wind down at the end of the day

I drive mine everyday to Nissan North America's headquarter's in Gardena. Since its a CLV I don't have to worry about maintenance or insurance.

Pretty much daily commute for more than a year now. Top down probably, on average, 75% of time, seriously. Even in winter...all that is required is a leather jacket, leather gloves, heater and heated seats...and oh yes, the NISMO ski cap...which is good for a few horsepower, by the way (grin).

Absolutley! Every day for 10 months and loving it!
I get serious withdrawals when I don't drive it for even a day or two.

I drive my ZR everyday with the top down. I live in San Diego and we went about 180 days with no rain. Great weather here for a convertible. When I bought my ZR I keep my BMW 5 series because I wasn't sure how often I would drive the Z. I am happy to say I sold the BMW the other day. Now my only option is to drive the Z. Yippee!!

as of now I am driving everyday.....we just had a baby so I need to get a SUV. So I will be parking the ZR and driving it on special occassions....(like when I get the green light to go out).

My wife drives a Explo(d)er, but with the schedules etc...I am finding myself in need of a bigger car.....

I drive between Gaithersburg and DC every day, 24 miles each way. Sitting on the beltway in rush hour does wonders for your left calf.

60 miles round trip each day - all on interstate, at speed. Best thing there is for slaloming around the slugs - haven't seen a gap I couldn't slot into or anyone who can out accelerate me into a merge. It's like driving an endurance race with multiple classes on the track at once - and you're in the hottest class.

If you have to commute, you might as well challenge yourself and do it in a bullet. Otherwise, look around you - you'll just be a brain-dead drone in a box like everyone else.
