Is an MREV2 worth using on a Non-Rev up engine???
Many people have told me to get the Motordyne spacer and Mrev2. I have an 04 so i dont think it's a rev up model. Some people have said its not worth getting the Mrev2 for a non-rev up, is this true?

From what I read, the earlier models came with shorter runners where as the HR engines didn't(longer runners), therefore the earlier models would not benefit from an MREv2 since we already have one. correct?
HR is an entirely different topic. The REVUP DE (05-06) benefit from the MREV and MREV2. They have the shorter factory runners. NON-REVUP DE (03-05) are already a long runner plenum... The MREVs are just slightly ported versions of NON-REVUP plenums. Gains for a NON-REVUP would be minimal, if any at all. Spacer is the way to go.
So the verdict is, getting only spacers would be the reasonable thing to do if you have non-rev up. MREV gain is very minimal. But what about after tuning it? Is it still very minimal or by any chance would it make difference?

If tony ie(owner of motordyne) would chime in im sure he would say go with just the spacer for non-rev up.
My plans are still to go with motordyne 5/16th spacer and a re-flash.
All other money spent on na mods i have read nets you very minimal gains in any rpm range.

Note: The MREV2 is labeled as "MMP" in the graph legend.
It makes a difference but nothing like it does on the REVUP engine.

Wired 24/7 who used to be a moderator did his own independant testing of this same test sequence and found similar results.
I don't have the link right now but it can be found with a search.

Nvm I was on the right track I just said it backwards. Longer runners for the Non-revup and short runners for later years. I was right just mixed my words =) Hope OP is now well informed
