Engine Stalls if not given a little gas on startup
Hey guys, I just bought a 2004 350z Touring 6mt. I am not new to 350z's, I've owned one before and never had this problem. Every time I start the car, then engine immediately idles really low, and dies off. If I give it a little gas for a few seconds, it then evens out and idles at around 600.
Does anyone know what this problem could be? The previous owner told me it has been doing that for the past year or so.. I don't know why he didn't have it looked at or try to figure out the problem.
I was thinking it could be a dirty MAF sensor or something along those lines, but I'm not really sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I do not have an aftermarket intake or filter, I'm not sure what brand the actual filter itself is. It's just a red and white paper filter, might try to change it out even though it's not too dirty.
I already googled this, and found people with similar problems, but no one's exactly like mine. Mine seems to be unique because it's only on startup that it needs a little extra gas, after that it runs fine the whole time I drive it.
As far as the MAF sensor, I will try to just clean it, if that fails would replacing it be the best option?

This happened to me couple years ago!!! End up was a going to died fuel pump causing this problem!!! So replaced a brand new unit and no more idle low and died down sympthom. Hope this helps!
Hey guys, I'm having a really bad issue with my throttle body. My idle keeps surging or hunting between 1.5 and two RPMs at all times. I took it to Nissan, they said they couldn't read anything on the computer because it's been auto tuned. I'm about to move back to America and I'd like to sell my car. It's a 2007 350z, Canadian specs. I just changed the MAF sensors and fixed my dual exhaust. It's got some mods like Cold Dual Air Intake. My question is, can anyone recommend a good mechanic to fix my throttle issue? Thanks!
