No problem, let me help clarify. I had been looking for this lip for a year. It was on a clearance sale (last one they had left) from Vivid Racing at an unbelievable price, the person I spoke to didn't know exactly which bumper it was for. I had the money, and I was feeling lucky, guess I wasn't. I still might swap out the bumpers.

Heres a picture of Toby's and Superblack's car. They both look very nice, but Toby's car shows me that the 03 front can look very good. (Although I do love the look of the 06 front)

I could have sworn the two lips were recognizable through pictures but it's pretty tough to call at the moment. If it doesn't fit for you, I guess the only way to truly confirm it is to hit up someone with an 03-05 bumper to test fit.

Are you sliding the lip in at an upward angle through the mid section and then pulling the sides a bit to fit snug?

Yes, I slid the lip upward onto the middle section. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow of how short the lips midsection is compared to the bumper. I don't think there is a way that carbon fiber would ever magically form to be that much larger.

EDIT: Removed pictures of replicas.

You have the 03-05 V1 lip. I have the same one in FRP sitting in my garage (still ) waiting to be painted and installed.

OP gottcha.. I would'nt put myself through the hassle in getting the older bumper for your car just to install a lip.. Sell the Lip make a profit..
Like someone else said go for a Mines lip or even check out the Evo R Front lip.. I have it in carbon fiber and it looks great..

That is a replica, the 06-08 looks almost identical to the 03-05. Heres the proof.

Hmmm...Well here's the source of the carbon image pic:
http://www . ********* . com/forums/148-australia/51908-06-z-veilside-v1-style-front-lip.html
*** = 350ztech

I didn't read that they were selling replicas... oops.

Here's another thread regarding an authentic V1 carbon lip and how the owner needed to file down the edges at the ends:
https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...lside-lip.html

But still, the part numbers that I pulled from the pictures of your lip and the mynismo website are showing 03-05 fitment.

Thanks Advan and Stinky.

I'm in a situation where I need to repaint my 06-08 bumper anyway. So i'm thinking I might just by an 03-05 front for cheap, paint it magnetic black and put the Veilside lip on.

I'm still deciding at the moment. That means i'll have an 06-08 front bumper and an Aerosync front bumper for sale if I can find an 03-05.

I'm back! Our 06-08 lip has a dent in the middle. We're the only one sales it with the dent in middle.

Visually, the VeilSide lips for the newer and older Z look the same. The ones with the dent in the middle are fakes.

AE068-02 is the 03-05 carbon lip.
AE068-02MA is the 06+ CF lip
(fun fact - the factory sometimes made up their own part numbers that ended in -7 or -9)

The 06+ lip is wider than the older lip.

G3 refers to a newer finishing style that was supposed to have clear coat mixed in with the resin.

Thanks for the in depth response. You pretty much summed up this entire thread in that one post . How is it that you know this (I only see a 2 post count and January join date)?

I know all about them.

Also, that one you have is a fairly new one.

Sorry to bump an old thread (figured this was better than doing another V1 thread) but I recently acquired a fully authentic version 1 carbon fiber lip kit. I have a few questions:

1. The front lip has the old raised lettering. This means it's for 03 - 05 correct? If so...then this will most likely go up for sale.
2. The sides and rear (raised lettering also) they are universal? So they can fit 03 - 08?

I was under the impression that ONLY the urethane front lip had raised lettering. CF versions had the badge. Yes, the sides and rear fit all models. I believe you are correct about the raised lettering only being for the 03-05. How much you want for it if so?
