2004 350Z convertible Top
I have had my top replace twice since I bought my Z 6yrs ago. Last replacement was almost 3 years ago. I took it in 3 weeks ago for the dealer to look at it again. The top would not go down all the way. It would stop before the lid could close. Also the plate that fits over the bar inside was coming off on the driverside. I asked if they could check it out. WELL they didn't fix it, they made it worst. They cut several holes in the top while checking it out, also they pulled the plate off more and just left it that way. When I took it back they said they are not responsible for the cuts, because it happen when they were looking at it. This car as been my worst nightmare. I have friends that has a Porch for 10 years and have not replaced a top once. If I had known that Nissan convertible's top would only last 3 year I would not have bought the darn car. Its worth paying more for a car that last 10 years, then to purchase a less expensive one. Major lesson learned and expensive one at that. Who can affort to replace a top for $3000 every 3 years? If anyone knows of a good repair shop in Las Vegas that can fix the top, please let me know.
