Exclamation Changes to the Private Classifieds

As most of you can see the Classified section has been changing.

I've broken the section down to subforums. This was mainly done in order to help people buy, sell and find parts for sale.

The Good side long term you will reap the benifits. The down side the old posts.. Due to the amount of posts we have it is very hard to move all of them at once, you can mass move them yet you still have to filter through the data.

I spent over 4 hours trying to sift through the data to move them and it doesnt even feel like I've moved any large amount of posts yet. Just by looking at the amount moved it would probably take 2-4 guys working on 5 hours each to move the data. Well with that said it aint gonna happen. I can see better use of the time spent working somewhere else on the site.

All your posts are still here dont worry they have just ben moved to a new board called Old Classifieds.

In order to move forward with the new configuration I have semi closed the board. Meaning no-one can post, or reply in that forum.

However, I have done this
*Members can move their own posts to the respective subforums.
*Members can edit/delete their own posts

I recomend that you guys either delete or move your post.

With that said I'm sure you can understand why this was done and some will come to respect the amount of effort and time some of the moderators and admins put into the site.

Sorry for the rant, I would do all the work if I could but its just not feasible and time could be spent better elsewhere improving the site.

Thanks for the update Kyle.

I could move all of them if I wanted to have 5 IE windows open and moving one thread in each window for 6 hours straight, but i'm not, it takes too long to do this. I moved quite a few pages in each section under Modifications section and I know the amount of work it requires to move them. I will do a little per 3 hours though. Like I said, I could move all of them, or I could do a little at a time and still moderate the forums, if I move all of them, i'm not going to be able to do ANYTHING else, and will then have to catch up on threads when i'm done and I don't want to have to catch up.

Anyway, just thought I would chime in on this.
