stop guessing.

everyone was saying infiniti. now the GTR is comming out as a nissan.

it will be priced at comparibly to the competitors. if its going to have 350 bhp turbo expect similar price to corvette c6 if its going to have higher performance expect z06 pricing.

in 2 yrs time it will be running around 40-50 k.

This car is worth 70k, unfortunately not many would be able to afford it. This car will will spank your M3 and give it a reach around - I'm extremely pleased they kept it a Nissan, that's what it was and what it should be. If this wasn't a Nissan then it wouldn't be worth anything to me, call it petty and stupid if you want, the 'name' Infiniti doesn't have the heritage Nissan does with this car.

I was wondering though...aren't those pics of the GTR in Japan and thus badged as a Nissan? It is possible for it to be badged as an Infiniti if it comes to the U.S., right? I have no clue myself but I was wondering if there was actual statement or proof that it is coming to the U.S. as a Nissan.

Not that it matters if it comes out as a Nissan or Infiniti. Car looks sweet.

First of all, you don't know the spec of the GTR yet, nor do you know the spec of the new M3. But most likely the new M3 will have more than 400hp and we can probably speculate the GT-R be a little heavier and more powerful than that. But in either case, it won't be a spanking.

It is shown as an NISSAN cause this is the release at the Tokyo Motor Show. NISSAN has never released an INFINITI at the Tokyo Motor Show cause there is no INFINITI over there.

Just by the look, I won't pay more than 35K for this car. If it has 400HP, and good handling, and potential like the previouse GTR, I am willing to pay around 50k. More than that, I will be looking for European Sports car instead.

gtr wasn't more then 50k when it came out in japan. it was simply a nice nissan car with high performance.

i imagine 50k here. and decent performance with a single turbo.

The new z06 is god, but I prefer the c5 z06 for looks. The c6 vettes are nasty looking imo.

No dude, marketing does not OWN me like most people. An Infiniti is just an overpriced NISSAN. Heck, you could of not told it was a "Nissan" and I still would of said it does not look like a $70k car. Look at it really close, does it not resemble the body lines of a 350z? I call it the Z on ROIDS. I can name various cars at $70k heck, even less then that amount that I would pick over this. Heck the OLD R34 GTR sold in Japan for $35K. I would take the old 1 over this one. Too bad they dont sell it here

I think the front end has a certain... confusion to it. It just doesnt flow like I would expect it too. Im looking for a clean, with a hint of aggression, in the front end. Else, the vehicle is perfect.

My estimated cost, $45,000 base and up to $60,000 with options. I feel the confusion on the motor could be a blessing, what if they decided to follow suite with the FX? Offer two motor options, V8 or V6-TT?

Just speculation...

Disclaimer: I personally choose clean flowing vehicles such as the 350Z. Overly aggressive front ends bother me.
