Since there aren't many Z's in korea, it's pretty cool having one. But I'm sure you know there are many exotic cars running around in Kang-nam. It's not unusual to see Lambo, Ferrari, Pagani Zonda, etc. Yes, Pagani Zonda... and people are siting Enzo once in a while...

That blue one in the picture is mine... and yes it's the Young-In (용인) everland circuit. I got a circuit license last year... I plan to do some circuit driving...

I was a You-Hak-Sang (international student) from middle school to masters. Then got a job in New York, so I attained a working visa (H-1b)... but I was still a korean citizen, so I had to come back...

question about that....i waas born in korea can came here in 1989 when i was 6. since then i've been naturalized and currently am serving in the united states marine corps. so technically i have dual citizenship. if i was to go visit korea would i be drafted into the korean military?

 

To gimpster621. In answer to your question, you can be drafted into the Korean military IF your parents did not file the proper paperwork with the Korean embassy or consulate that essentially cancels your Korean citizenship. I know this for a fact, because I served at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul and a person much like yourself (who had previously served in the U.S. Army) was visiting his Korean girlfriend. At the end of his stay, they pulled his U.S. passport at the airport and asked him to report for duty in Korean armed services. There was nothing the U.S. government could do in his case, because his parents had not done their paperwork when he was younger. For all the Z drivers out of there of draft age and Korean born, be aware of this before visiting your motherland.

No, you don't as long as you file a paper saying that you immigrated, etc, etc. My wife is also a korean-american and her brother just visited Korea for our wedding. He didn't have any problem since he filed that paper and he was just visiting. However!! If you plan to live in Korea, yes you might get drafted... There was a korean-american who did that. He also was an american marine and served in the gulf war. Then he decided to move back to korea, and bam!! He was forced to go to Korean military.. Pretty F##$ed up stuff...

100% korean here, although nobody (not even koreans) believe that I am because I have big eyes for a korean lol i usually have to show them my license and show that my last name is KIM in order for them to believe me! i'm not even recognized as a korean in korea and probably not in k-town either. they all try to speak english to me in restaurants too. not that it's a bad thing cuz my korean sucks.
