I know it is late, and there do not appear to be too many folks on here from China, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year (or Spring Festival as they are calling the 2 week holiday).
The year of the Rat is my year, so I figured to make a return to China to see some friend. I have really enjoyed my time here visiting with friend and family in Chongqing and Chengdu and then a visit to Emei mountain.
Man let me tell you, it was COLD as heck, beautiful, but WAY cold and not to mention climbing the last 500 - 1000 meters caused me to get altitude sickness and I had to be taken back down the mountain by SUV.... YIKES
I hope the year turns out better that that mountain trek.

happy new year! Bam. glad u made it down the mountain ok. altitude sickness is so common in the south west regions of china. i waz in chongqing too 2 months ago...great city! the only thing i miss was all the hot women there...i prolly hang out at all the wrong spots (CQ have the prettiest women in the country statistically). u gotta check out Lijiang and Kunming too in Yunnan province since it's right next door. this thread is worthless without pics
