Default time to do sub, amp and box, need help deciding

I'm going to be putting in a 10 inch sub, amp for the sub and an amp for my mids but i'm unsure of what to go with. I know for sure i'm going to have a custom sealed box made under the strut bar. My existing setup conists of mb quart rce components and an alpine cda-9835 head unit. My whole goal with this setup is sound quality not big bass. I dont listen to music with a lot of pounding bass, just looking for something that will sound clean and accurate. My friend is suggesting an image dynamics idq sub and alpine amps. Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on this?
