Default LCD Screen

I am interested in putting a 6.5 or 7 inch LCD screen in my Z. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as which unit fits best, best value, etc... Also, if anyone has any pics that would be great as well. Thanks guys!!

Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD
One of the top LCD's on the market right now.
its Pioneer's #2 right now, under the AVIC-N2, however the AVIC-N2 is only a 6.5" screen while the 7500 is a 7" touchscreen. XM capable, DVD, MP3, all that fun stuff. If you hook up the antennas correctly, you get TV channels 2-13. It has a PC-Card so you can hook it up to the internet and download updates and skins and whatnot.

NOTE: The AVH-7500 is only the top unit. It is not a double-din. The second unit I have under it is a seperate unit altogether and is not part of the 7500.

After taking down the panel and removing the old HU and installing your new one and all that jazz, you have to make all of the basic HU connections. You will definately need a wiring harness, but Im pretty sure that all Nissans use the same harness, so you can pick one up at any car audio store. When I did mine, I installed a HU and Nav, so I had 227878419 wires back there when I was done hooking it up compared to the stock setup. I noticed that putting it back in was very hard because there is not much room behind where the HU is to stuff all of those wires, so it took a lot of wire ties, pushing, pulling, and nicks/cuts on my fingers to get all of the wires to fit back there before I put the dash piece back up.

I like this unit, however I would like to have it out of sight. Has anyone installed it in the center cubby? Does anyone know if it is possible? I work in San Francisco in a high crime area, so I would like to have it hidden.

How do those touchscreens due with glare? I would imagine that the slightest bit of sun would obscure the screen. How does it work out?

Thier are a ton of wires, especially if you get the NAV with it. The DVD needs to be connected to the P-brake and the GPS needs to be tired into the speed wire along with the regular speaker, power wires and then the wires that connect the HU to its control box.

All those setups are nice but I personally wanted a cleaner look and didn't want something sticking out like that or anything motorized because the more moving parts the more likely something will go wrong so I went with this. The only thing i wish mine had was NAV. But oh well.

But you know that Soundstream warranties have been suspended, right? At least thats what I heard from my audio hookup, and he is an authorized soundstream distributor.
